Spring Term A beginner/learners 6-week course on Tuesday evenings 7-9 pm. Starts on Tuesday 18th September with the final week on Tuesday 23rd October. All materials, firing and glazing services are provided. Set in my garden, the Lost Garden Studio is a haven - surrounded by trees, plants, the odd squirrel and lots of birds. Throughout the course, you could try various building techniques, decorating and glazing. There is pinch potting, coiling, slab building or sculpting to explore! Of course we'll be throwing too- and work through throwing and trimming a small bowl, cup and plate over the course. As my classes are small you will receive 121 tuition on the wheel. Some pots will be fired ready for glazing too, so you will experience various decorating and glazing techniques too. You get to keep all your pots you make! My classes are fun, informal and relaxed. Ideally, you would bring along ideas of what you would like to hand build- there is no set 'curriculum' of what to make - you could think about a small project to start with to get the creativity flowing. It should go without saying but I welcome and support all nationalities, backgrounds and LGBTQ+ folk. My garden is unfortunately not wheelchair friendly at this point, but where I can accommodate disabilities I do. CANCELLATIONS *** IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*** If you need to cancel your place I will refund the amount in full if cancelled 14 days or more before the start date. After this, I can not refund any of the payment. PLEASE NOTE I can not refund or replace missed sessions once the course has started. PLEASE NOTE: Strictly over 18s only There are no additional hidden costs. You will be able to collect finished pieces 6/8 weeks after the end of the course. However this may be longer if I have kiln issues, events or lots of work to fire. Please note there is nowhere to wait in my studio if you are early. Access to the studio includes two steps and a narrow path. My dogs are friendly but kept in the house. If I need to cancel a session, I will contact you all as soon as possible and either offer an alternative session or a refund.
