Herbs Fermentation Pot
Thrown on the wheel then hand etched with a variety of my favourite herbs.
This fermentation jar is comparatively small in size from the larger crocks that inspired it. A perfect size for a beginner, or ferment smaller batches of vegetables.
They work by allowing the gases produced through the process of fermentation to escape, while keeping contaminants out. The trough at the top is filled with water, the lid sitting in that, so gas can bubble up and out. This relieves pressure that can build up in a sealed jar, and keeps fruit flies at bay in a way that I don't think simply covering with fabric does. It comes with a weight so that contents can remain submerged below the liquid, further reducing the risk of contamination.

Care instructions: dish washer friendly although hand wash is always advisable for extra care.
