A wheel-thrown earthy Sourdough Jar. My ceramics often are of storytelling nature and I love to make pottery too that support you in your own story. Sourdough has that beautiful possibility to be passed on through generations, you could be baking the bread of your grandmother, and your great-grandchildren could be baking yours in years to come. The beauty of this simple but powerful gift, the smell, taste and texture of bread passed through generations is what inspired me to make these sourdough jars.
 
Thrown on the wheel and textured they have been finished with a tin white glaze that allows the earthy stoneware clay to break through. The lid sits on top, and can be offset to allow gasses to escape.
